Team Play (Grades 3-8)
The club groups teams at three age levels: Grades 3-4, Grades 5-6, and Grades 7-8. The season includes home and travel games against other clubs in the region, as well as two tournaments.
Indoor practices start in January (grades 7-8), February (grades 5-6) and March (grades 3-4). Games start in April. Registration is in the winter (no try-outs). Join the Email List to be notified when registration opens.

Grades 3-4 (combined)
Introduce the fundamentals of lacrosse to players in a 7v7 small field format.
2 evenly-matched teams (with 3rd and 4th graders) practice together and play games typically side by side.

Grades 5 & 6 (separate)
Introduce players to full field game play (12v12). Kids build on fundamentals through competitive team play and learn modified checking.

Grades 7 & 8 (separate)
Provide a competitive training program and team play to help players in grades 7/8 prepare for high school lacrosse.
2024 Spring Season Details
We secured space for winter training at Florham Park Sports Dome and Dingers in Maplewood.
MGLC uses TeamSnap for practices and games.
Winter practice start will be communicated via email but all of the practices will be loaded in TeamSnap
Outdoor practices will begin in April
Uniforms for team play will be ordered separately. An announcement will come out early February.
Games will start in April and go through May
Required Gear: Players will need to bring their own lacrosse stick, goggles, mouth guard, cleats and water
Equipment Exchange
Each February, we’ll host an equipment exchange. Please donate any individual equipment that your child no longer needs. And please come “shop” the collection!
A notice will go out to all registered players.
